VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) now includes a provision whereby tribes have jurisdiction over non-Native people. This would end impunity for non-Native perpetrators of sexual assault, child abuse co-occurring with domestic violence, stalking, sex trafficking, and assaults on tribal lands. ⠀
