My great-grandmother never went to school. My grandmother left school in third grade. My mother left before finishing elementary school. They get to see me achieve my second degree, a master’s from Michigan State, break barriers and pave the way.

I get to plant a deep root that has a long life, starting at the school I have found and created opportunities at, that makes me the most educated female on both sides of my family. #SpartanGrad22 neahapatel
