#FBF to our first #AllStarSmiles charity event last October. On that day, we gave over $60k in free dental care to children suffering in pain from the Lenora B Smith elementary school in Liberty City Miami. This idea was born from a simple conversation with Miami Marlin player, Giancarlo Stanton about how we can team together to give back to those less fortunate and in desperate need. I'm honored to partner in this endeavor with an outstanding human being. You may know Giancarlo for his athletic prowess but I can personally attest to his most special attribute is that of his epic levels of compassion and willingness to serve children in need.
Today was a special day as we finalized our own 501c3 foundation for #AllStarSmiles and created a vision to make this charity nationwide within 5 years.
Did you know that right here in the US, the number one reason why a child will visit the ER or miss school is due to dental pain? Together with Giancarlo and my dental colleagues around the nation, we are going to erase that statistic. I'm proud of the work we've done and ready for the challenge to make it even bigger to serve all children in need. "The secret of living is giving." #blessedtobeablessing giancarlo818 lenorabsmithes
