## Caption

An ideal Tight End is super hard to find because they are such a unique combination of size, skill, athleticism, and smarts.

But here are 5 traits I think the ideal Tight End should have.

1. Height — you gotta be 6’2-6’3 minimum but preferably 6’4 plus.

2. Length — and yes this is different than height. It’s about how long are your arms.

3. Movement skills — How well do you run, can you run on film.

4. Body Control & flexibility — Can you control your body in the air and break tackles.

5. Toughness & Football IQ — You play in the box and take big hits all the time. A lot goes into the TE position. You are an extension of the OL, have to know the route tree and be able to play all over the field.
