i completelyyyy missed #NationalDJDay yesterday so don't mind me as i make my post today lol thank you to those of you that sent me messages and tagged me in your favorite DJ posts!

many of you might not know that i stumbled into DJing. after i gave up my hoop dreams and became a corporate girlie, i wanted to pursue singing. it wasn't until i was advised to get to know some local DJs in regards to pushing my music (once i left corporate) that i even was around the art. having been a musician all of my life (fun fact: i'm a classically trained cellist) and playing a number of other instruments, the concept of DJing wasn't that farfetched, i just didn't know what any of the buttons really meant lol some research and a $200 numark controller later, majorjackash introduced me to readybobbito who gave me my very first DJ opportunity in the club. within my first full year of DJing i DJed for the colts , met captainco9 and started DJing a few shows for trinarockstarr , had my first out of town show in nashville thanks to iamdjcoop , had a mix on the radio, started having regular shows at my favorite houston bar pearlbarhouston and a list of other things. i moved to atlanta in 2018 and within the first 6 months i had my first mini mix go viral on someone else's facebook page lol it had 12 million views when i first was tagged in it.. i was completely unprepared for what came with that lol soon after i opened up for djjazzyjeff in portland and i went on to complete 3 seasons with the falcons and a few events with the atlutd , worked with various corporate clients, DJed in the Wild'N'Out Greenroom (shoutout to thatdevastator) i've toured internationally with my favorite show being my Auckland, New Zealand show (thank you limelightdjnz , we still have to finish the Australia leg since COVID came in and interupted the plans) on top of many, many other things. now i do a zillion other things that will be too long to mention LOL and i'm back in the basketball space (shoutout ote , thebal , atlantadream ! i'm truly so thankful. i took this morning to really reflect on my crazy DJ journey and i want to show my gratitude to each and every one (cont in comments)
