I hope you’re all doing well out there and staying safe and sane. It’s been a time of going inward, of listening and learning, of having multitudes of conversations (both in real life and in my head) and of slowly finding balance again and coming back out into the world. Today I’m thinking about how #BrokenBottles came to be... In June of 2016, I was hanging out w 
matt__pond + listening to his demos. One struck me immediately. It was a fragmented verse + chorus, but I loved the cinematic nature and shruggy sassiness of the first line: "Those broken bottles must’ve come down from the clouds.” I finished writing it that week and a gang of beautiful folks helped me realize my sonic dream (chriskuffner 
recorded, produced + played bass while 
bessrogers 
played guitar at their home studio in Brooklyn, NY. 
elliotjacobson 
played drums, brandon_bost 
mixed it in NYC + adamgonsalves 
mastered it at Telegraph in Portland, OR). The cover pic was shot by the inimitable shervinfoto and my graffiti dreams were realized by the great mistermauster 
Here we are, exactly four years later, releasing Broken Bottles in June of 2020! I hope you love it. (Video by skotcof in next post)
