☔️ Fans First, Entertain ALWAYS ☔️ 

That line is our slogan for thesavbananas , and it’s one we take pretty seriously.

It’s no secret that our show is entertaining during ideal circumstances. Even if you’ve never been, our social media and our broadcast do an excellent job showcasing how much fun our shows are.

But what happens when things are less than ideal? Do we just hit pause and cruise through until the smoke clears?
Absolutely not.

yellowtuxjesse has done a good job over the years showing the world how we’re able to entertain even when it rains, but our show has gotten bigger and more complex in the last year, and with that has come an entirely new show that we perform for our fans for a full hour before the gates open. It’s called “Before the Peel,” and it’s hosted by me and isaacrpowell where we have fun with our fans, sing, dance, and showcase some performances from our cast and even some players.

During our stint in Fresno, California: we were forced to delay the start of one of our games because of rain, which always forces us to get creative in the way we entertain our fans. It was absolutely pouring when we would have gone on stage for our Before the Peel show, and it was cold and windy to boot. Standing on stage and potentially wrecking our equipment and costumes didn’t seem like the right option, but Isaac noticed that the ballpark had a balcony overlooking the plaza where we could run a modified version of the show to give those fans a fun experience while they waited for the gates to open. I agreed that it was a no brainer even though no one would have blamed us for skipping the pre-pre-show. 

It turned out to be one of my favorite shows we’ve run since we began doing it late last year. Was it the best show? No, but those fans all crammed into that wet plaza in ponchos and umbrellas ate it up probably because we were willing to make the effort to entertain them in some way when they had absolutely no expectations that we would.
That’s why I love our squad. We don’t do what’s easy. We do what’s right and in line with our core values and our motto: Fans First, Entertain ALWAYS.
