Happy birthday to #BMWArtCar artist Sandro Chia 🎉

30 years ago, Italian-born painter Sandro Chia collaborated with BMW to paint a racing car prototype from the #BMW3 series - enveloping the car in his expressionistic, light-hearted style with portraits and figures of mythical appearance. 

Human figures have played an important role in Chia’s works. The overlapping silhouettes and portraits form into a single mass, reflective of the crowds of racing fans.
