April 3rd 2019, it’s surgery day. Another year, another knee. ⠀

“Damn I am not lucky” that’s what I said to myself when I went down knowing something was wrong. I was devastated and sad. But it did not take me too long to realize that maybe it was simply and probably how my path was meant to be, that the story would be even better (because I love a good story more so when I have the lead role in it 😂) and the comeback even greater. ⠀

So A year ago, after weeks of physicals, and mental preparation, I walked into hspecialsurgery , with my HSS rewards card in my back pocket of my black adidas short (I would have love puma but did not have one) ready to cash in my points for a new knee. ⠀
It wasn’t the end of the world but the beginning of another journey, a journey that I knew all to well. I was an expert on ACL recovery with the help spec1al_ke1 .  I was excited to get started with my recovery knowing that rileywilliamsmd would work his magic again. I had one objective: be available for my team by playoffs time. ⠀
From the moment I got hurt building to surgery I never let my emotions took the best of me, managing my expectations: a smile and a positif attitude mix in with some hard work, sweat and sometimes tears (because yes big guys, which I’m not, cries). I remember thinking that the journey wasn’t so bad after all, that I had done it once and I would do it again even better this time. ⠀
I believe that Everything happens for a reason. ⠀
And this was only the start... ⠀
