Ninety-five years ago, hopewellfurnacenhs was established in Elverson, Pennsylvania. The site protects several historical buildings from an early iron-producing village, including a farm, church, mansion, blacksmith shop, charcoal house, and a large furnace that produced iron for over a century!

You could say this is where the iron industry began heating up in America!
