Pictured: military families exploring military history!

This weekend, we worked with the National Military Family Association to get service members and their families into Harpersferrynps to enjoy a day of discovery in one of our country's most historic towns! Harpers Ferry is known for John Brown’s Raid of the armory and the place where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet, and it is steeped in environmental and cultural history.

It was a day for the families to explore the town while creating unforgettable memories with their family members and the new friends they made on the trip! For many, it was healing to be surrounded by the history of past military memories, as well as current servicemembers and their families.

But that’s not all! Each family was presented with a free military annual pass from the park so that they can explore as many national parks as they want!
