First things first…

You have no business doing the last one unless you have experience, proper hiking shoes are a must and even though it’s not that hot you still need water and sun protection on all trails! Thanks for listening to my disclaimer 😎

🥾 If you are inexperienced and would enjoy a nature walk, you’ll get all the desert views, bird watching and even get to see a crested saguaro on the Latigo Trail @ Pima-Dynamite Trailhead. 
⛰️3.7 miles out & back, 239 ft elevation gain. 
📍 28777 N Pima Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85262

🥾Another easy option (like it only takes 7 minutes easy) with a unique desert landscape is Hole in Rock at Papago Park. Seriously, you can climb to a hole in a rock and it’s a surprisingly cool experience.
⛰️ 0.3 miles out & back, 32 ft elevation gain
📍 625 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85008
Tip- head to @lousatpapago for a local beer and great food afterward 

🥾 If you would like a moderate trail but still want a great view, I can’t recommend Holbert Trail at S. Mountain enough. You’ll hike to Dobbins lookout for an excellent view of the city. 
⛰️4.2 miles out & back, 997 foot elevation gain

Tip- those who can’t hike, you can also drive to Dobbins Lookout (get info at visitphoenix.com) 

🥾 If you are an advanced hiker and have proper hiking shoes, you’ve gotta do Piestewa in the heart of the city. This is the BEST place to catch an epic Arizona sunset! 
⛰️2.1 miles out & back, 1,148ft elevation gain
📍 7200 N. Piestewa Peak Dr. 85016
