1. Can you tell us a little bit about your floral company BloomBar?
BloomBar is a boutique floral design studio based in New York City specializing in weddings and events.

2. How did you get started in the wedding business?
I actually worked as a clinical social worker for almost 8 years before I ever got into the floral design field.  I had always been a floral hobbyist and a very amateur designer of flower gifts and arrangements for friends and family in my spare time. During the planning of our wedding six years ago, I was really excited by all of the creative processes, especially floral design by our talented studio in Newport, RI, so after our wedding was over I gave florals a real shot on weekends or before/after work. That grew into more opportunities and client referrals over a few years, to the point where I was able to leave my clinical position to focus full-time on BloomBar.

3. What’s your favorite thing about working in weddings?
Collaborating with other vendors and our clients to create beauty — this process in weddings brings me so much joy. My favorite part of the wedding day is when my client holds their bouquet or sees the reception all finished for the first time and they are even more excited to get married! It's such a special time in clients' lives, and to have committed, creative professionals adding to the beauty and personalization of it is just awesome.

4. What’s a fun fact our followers should know about you?
I speak Spanish — not fluently, but trying to get there!
