A little painful authentic 
moment here. 🥹💗

It’s truly wonderful to see all the children of my mom friends and Sammy’s peers getting dropped off at college…launched into the world with bittersweet joy, hope and excitement. I really do love seeing all their posts, how big the kids have gotten…the anticipation and celebration on their faces... 

And yet at the same time it’s so painful!! Cause it’s INSANE that Sammy isn’t here. He freaking should be damn it. We should be helping him set up his dorm room and getting shooed away as I try not to end the hug and he good naturedly (with a grin and rolled eyes) peels me off him, telling me he’ll see me soon. I should be watching him as he ambles away, jumping into this next phase of life’s journey. But I’m not. And it hurts. A lot. 

And yet as hard as it is at times I can hold this duality and so can you…the pain and the joy, the loss and the Grace. I just felt the need to share, knowing there are thousands of mamas like me out there struggling to hold it all right now. You aren’t alone. You are held. We are all in this together. Please allow yourself receive love and support from furry and non-furry friends alike. 
And PS Dogs really are angels in furry form. 🥰❤️‍🩹
