On Monday night's episode of 'The Daily Show,' Jon Stewart dove into subject matter than would've made his previous employer none too pleased.

Interviewing FTC Chair Lina Khan, Stewart examined big tech and the AI revolution. It was a reversal from just six months earlier when his Apple TV Show 'The Problem with Jon Stewart' was cancelled over tension between the tech giant and Stewart for his desire to cover these topics.

Speaking to Khan, Stewart said, "I wanted to have you on a podcast, and Apple asked us not to do it, to have you. They wouldn't let us even do that dumb thing we did in the first act on AI. What is that sensitivity? Why are they so afraid to even have these conversations out in the public sphere?"

A famous challenger of big tech, Khan discussed Apple's monopoly power and the latest DOJ lawsuit against the company. She went on to say, "In the same way you need the constitution to create checks and balances in our political sphere, you also needed the anti-trust and anti-monopoly laws to safeguard against the concentration of economic power."
