On the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival, a glimpse of Julie Mehretu’s vision beyond #ArtCar20 as a race car 📽️ 

A second component of Mehretu’s art car project is a series of workshops taking place throughout the continent of Africa for artists. “That was another point of entry for me into the project,” Mehretu notes, on the expansion of her collaboration with bmw beyond the racetrack. The workshop series will take place in 2025 with a focus on media and creating short films, to be featured in a culminating exhibition at zeitzmocaa Kapstadt.
