Some work from the cutting room floor. 
We always like throwing in a “curveball” when we are developing a sports team’s brand. That curveball is usually hyper local and quirky.

Delaware’s Air Force Base is unique as it flys the “big boys”, the c-5’s and c-17’s. The c-17 is affectionally nicknamed “The Moose”. That name was the perfect ugly duckling for our curveball.

But we did not want to represent a moose in ANY fashion though. We wanted to represent the Globemaster, and with no explanation, name the team The Moose. It would be this silly inside joke immediately inherent to military personnel, and a cool story for the team. 
Military grey and stenciled black fonts, it was never brought to full fruition (as we knew they wouldn’t go this direction) but we still think it came out pretty well. ——————
