Its time to dust off the old wings and get started on the new year!

We are kicking off our 2018/2019 season with some rookie recaps. As it is A-level Result soon, who better to get some perspective on what life at Kent in the first year of university is like than the rookies who have just gone through it themselves.
We start off with Keir Thompson.
Why Kent?

It’s a good place with good people, a mix of backgrounds more wide ranging than most unis and a very active student union that gives the structure for some amazing societies.

Why American football?

It’s an interesting sport that can include you no matter who you are from the big men on o line to the skinny guys running receiver moreover why not? It’s something new and it’s a great contact sport growing quickly in the UK.

What you enjoyed most about your first year at uni?

Being part of a team that won all its standard season games and of course, socially, making an entire new set of close friends in a short amount of time. I would say that being a Falcon has helped provide a structure to make friendships through. 🏈
