Check out our final #PCresearch takeover, brought to you by students working with Dr. Joanna Morris, associate professor of psychology. Follow the Center for Engaged Learning (engageatpc) to see more of their lab work.

“Hi! We’re Dr. Morris’ summer research assistants, funded by the Rhode Island Idea Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (riinbre)! We worked on a study investigating the role of the ability to pick up patterns in the environment in the acquisition of word structure during reading and the extent to which individual differences influence this process. Findings from this study, overall, may lead to insights that could help individuals having difficulty acquiring the skills of reading and writing, e.g individuals with dyslexia.”
