At Thursday's Commencement Exercises for undergraduates, featured speaker Dr. Laurie R. Santos ’21 Hon., a Yale University psychology professor and host of the popular podcast The Happiness Lab, asked the members of the Class of 2021 to feel grateful for the one thing they will miss most when they leave — each other. “Take a quick moment to notice how you feel,” Santos said. “A warmth in your chest, maybe? Some of you might have a genuine sense like you are connected to something bigger, the fact that there are a bunch of people in this world who have your back, and that feels amazing. That feeling that you have is gratitude. No matter where you go in life, this feeling is available to you. You can get it in your toughest times and your darkest moments. It can always be there when you need it. You just need to take time to turn it on and appreciate it.” Click our link in bio for more photos and videos from #PC2021's Commencement events for undergraduate, graduate, and PC_Continuing_ed students, and to learn more about the speakers at each ceremony.
