National Amateur Cup

The usadultsoccer Region II Amateur Cup saw not one, not two, but three forfeits last weekend. With that, Round 1 of the tournament to award the Bill Davey Amateur Cup has concluded. Round 2 is scheduled to continue this weekend.

In Round 1, michiganstarsfootballclub Semi Pro U23 (MI) advanced past Teranga Simbas (same organization as terangalionss) (MI). Simbas became ineligible due to being kicked out of the mpsl_soccer for outstanding issues.

The Stars will face midwest_pl rival and defending Great Lakes Conference, East Div. champion interdetroit (MI).

In the final Round 1 match, wislachicago (IL) advanced past hosts Honduras FC Majors (WI). Player availability & injuries forced HFC to prioritize the upcoming Wisconsin Soccer Leagues (WSL) regular season.

Wisla moves on to Round 2 and will face ckswartasoccer (IL).

Lastly, vlorafc (MN) advanced past FOCUS FC (KS) in the only Round 2 match of the weekend. The Kansas amateurs were unable to get enough players to make the 400+ mile trip to the Twin Cities.

Vlora’s Round 3 Amateur Cup opponent has not been determined at this time.
