What used to be called Better Hearing and Speech Month is now National Speech-Language-Hearing Month!

💛 This is traditionally a month to raise awareness for all that audiologists and SLPs do - let me tell you having been on both the patient and professional side.. you think a lot happens at our appointments - A TON goes on behind the scenes! 🤟 

National Speech-Language-Hearing Month is an annual observance in May that raises awareness about communication disorders and promotes the importance of early detection and treatment. Early detection can give you time - time to consider options and resources to best make choices most appropriate for YOU and YOUR family. Access to early intervention services is KEY. If an individual or family chooses to get rehabilitation or amplification for their child being deaf/hard of hearing, this is great too.
