2024 Florida Student Photojournalist of the Year!

I am incredibly proud to share that I am the Florida Scholastic Press Association’s 2024 Student Photojournalist of the Year. This is such an insane honor and I can not put into words how much it truly means to me. I was also announced as the winner of 4 “Best-of-the-Best” individual photo awards, which is a pretty huge achievement on its own.

My photography career throughout high school was never about awards, but I have to say it feels so incredible to be recognized at such a high level. I have put countless long days and late nights into doing what I love and I can’t wait to see what my future holds in store. This is a career path I am so blessed to be set on and I’m so glad that I get to do this work.

I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunities and guiding me on his plan for my life. I’d also like to thank my incredible family and friends who have supported my photography journey since I started.

I know this last bit may seem corny, but to every other teen photographer with FSPA or anywhere, please know that your work is better than you think it is and you are so much greater than your self-doubt. This was my personal proof of that fact.
