World’s Fastest 5k happens to be in my backyard, Carlsbad California. Pretty cool event to watch, but don’t blink otherwise you’ll miss the finish. 

For the first time in 37 years, there was a new course layout. Edwin Kurgat and Laura Galvan defended their titles as repeat champs even with the new layout.
