It may seem like sports 101, this time around, but basics are important💯 Here's a more in depth look at tackling in #rugby: 
1️⃣: Unlike many tackles in #football, the tackler should always tackle with their head behind the ball carrier‘s motion. Never put your head in front of the runner or you could get really injured! 
2️⃣: Tackles in rugby (except for the famed tap tackle) must always be made by wrapping your arms around the ball carrier. Failure to wrap your arms result in a penalty at minimum, a red card and possible sanctioning at most. 
3️⃣: Never put your head down going into a tackle in a rugby match. In football, some players tackle by lowering their head and using it as a pseudo-battering ram, but in rugby this is highly dangerous and could result in injury for you or the ball carrier. Always keep your eyes up!
