The world is speaking, and the people are standing on the right side of history.

It saddens us deeply, to see all the recent events happening, not just in Gaza but around the world.

Earlier this week we witnessed a young man sacrifice his life in protest of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Active-duty member of the US air force, Aaron Bushnell, set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy. His last words were ‘Free Palestine’.

This incident reminds us of Rachel Corrie, an American activist who bravely stood in front of an Israeli bulldozer in an attempt to prevent it from demolishing Palestinian homes. Tragically, the bulldozer crushed her, ending her life.

We will never ask for anyone to put down their lives for the Palestinian cause. Still equally, we will never allow these precious lives to be lost in vain.

The people of the world are stronger than we realise. This is not the time to give up; let’s do this, let us unite, not just for Palestine but for all the persecuted people of the world.

All people deserve self-determination. Deserve dignity, and basic human rights, and to express those rights freely.

From river to sea, and every fringe of the earth and sky. Free Palestine.
