Let's talk shelving and storage spaces

When viewing a home, people are looking for its potential. You should be able to look at the space and get a clear understanding of the rooms dimensions. Shelves should be used to display minimal pieces that lack personal ties. No additional clutter should ever be added to distract potential buyers. 

A survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors found that "50% of agents reported that decluttering a home leads to a faster sales process". 

Shelving should be displayed as a pro; don't allow it to become a con.
