1) Ignore every 19 year old instagram guru or
45 year old recluse professor of optimization that doesn’t have children.
There is a level of chaos you have to learn to accept which is ok.

2) You and your spouse are teammates and everyone else can go to hell.
Investors, employees, parents, siblings, in-laws. Anyone who isn’t making bottles at 3 am doesn’t get a vote in where you go for thanksgiving or what you need to be doing.

3) Hire help-don’t expect family to be there like you’d like. We’ve hired night nurses and Nannies so we could sleep and keep living.
Any guilt you may feel about offloading parental responsibilities is wrong. Hire the help first-get therapy about it later (you won’t need it).

4) Redefine winning—when we had twins I went from going to the gym 7 days a week to 3 days a week, and some days I just needed sleep.
