Ice cream stop: Mannings Farm

Tucked off on the side of a rural road in Dalton, Pennsylvania, Mannings Farm has been family-owned and operated for 101 years - that's 4 generations of Mannings. This hometown ice creamery has 5 locations in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area, but the farm is still at the heart of local families' best summer memories. But travelers be warned: It will ruin you for other ice cream forever.

With more than 50 flavors, this homemade ice cream is as fresh as it gets (we mean being made literally 7 feet behind the ice cream counter kind of fresh.)
