One of Jack Nicklaus' best courses is right near his home in Palm Beach County, FL, the Loxahatchee Club. Nicklaus was enjoying a round of golf with real estate developer Gordon Grey in 1980 when Nicklaus mentioned he wanted to build a members course near Palm Beach County. Grey and that is when Loxahatchee came into fruition. Loxahatchee has flavorings of the old Scottish game mingled with modern American golf. In 2016 Nicklaus completed and extensive tee-to-green renovation. Loxahatchee has hosted notable tournaments and continues to be rated as best courses in North America by Golf Digest. Nicklaus is proud of this course as he should be, Nicklaus has said “It’s one of my most imaginative courses and certainly one of the best I have ever done."
