FREE THINGS TO DO ON NYE: NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORK DISPLAYS 🎆

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with one of the free firework displays around NYC!

(Another option: I’ve been compiling a list of no cover bars & no prix fixe restaurants on my Instagram highlights!)

Here are the locations to watch fireworks at midnight:

1️⃣ Times Square: Celebrations in timessquarenyc start at 6pm. There will be live performances throughout the night, ending with the ball drop and fireworks. To attend, you must arrive in the morning or early afternoon. It’s first come first serve!

2️⃣ Prospect Park / Grand Army Plaza: prospect_park is bringing back its four decade tradition of fireworks at Grand Army Plaza. The event starts at 10pm with live music by Quintessential Playlist qspbk 

3️⃣ Central Park: The firework show in centralparknyc is part of the nyrr annual four-mile Midnight Run. You can view these fireworks publicly on the corner of 5th Ave and 72nd St (or be a +1 to a runner to watch on the race course!).
times_up_nyc is also hosting a free bike ride starting at 9pm in Brooklyn with meetup points align the way, ending at Belvedere Castle in Central Park with fireworks and a dance party!

4️⃣ Statue of Liberty: There will be a barge near the Statue of Liberty. The best viewing spots are in Brooklyn from the Brooklyn Bridge or from the brooklynbridgepark and the Promenade. There are also cruises (not free)

Remember to get there early and expect large crowds!
