MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE DETAILS 🦃
•
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and the annual macys Thanksgiving Day parade! There will be tons of exciting performances, new balloons and floats, and more. Some highlights include: Lea Michele & the funnygirlbwy cast, fitzandthetantrums gloriaestefan, bigtimerush, marching bands, dance performances & more!

The parade is FREE and open to the public to attend in person, and goes down a 2.5 mile route from the UWS to Midtown from 9am-12pm. Here are some tips on the best (and worst!) spots to watch. (And note: if you watch live, you won’t see the main artists and performances as they are all in front of Macy’s!)

🎈 Early risers: best spot is the start of the parade on Central Park West from 75th St to 61st St (from about 9am until 10:30am)
🎈 Later arrivals: Further down the route on 6th Avenue from W 59th to West 38th St (starting around 9:30am)
❌ Kickoff at 77th & CPW (not open to public)
❌ Columbus Circle (not open to public)
❌ 6th Avenue between 34th and 38th Streets or in front of Macy’s Herald Square (very limited due to the national television broadcast)

Note: umbrellas, backpacks, large bags or chairs are prohibited. Travel light!

For those who prefer to watch it at home in your pajamas, you can watch it on nbc or peacocktv from 9am-12pm (and then watch the annual Dog show!)

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
