FREE ICE SKATING IN NYC ⛸️ ❄️

Did you know there are now TWO ways to ice skate for free in NYC? 

You will need to bring your own ice skates (Lots of affordable pairs online if you don’t have!) I found some pairs in the $30-60 range and they should last you at least a year! Bring very limited items to avoid any bag check fees!

1️⃣ The Rink at Bryant Park:
bryantparknyc is NYC’s only free admission rink - book “bringing own skates” admission. Tickets roll out one week in advance. Shoe check is free for all (bags are $5 to check).

2️⃣ Wollman Rink
Book wollmanrinknyc tickets through Culture Pass with a nypl qplnyc bklynlibrary library card for free admission for up to 4. New Culture Pass reservations are released on the first of every month

For those who don’t have skates: wollmanrinknyc has a program called WRAP for anyone with IDNYC or NYPL card – $14 for admission, skates and a hot cocoa. WRAP tickets are available in-person at the box office during public skating hours.

+ there are free community days throughout the year: November 11 for Veterans and Active Military, January 16 for Teachers, February 20 for Public Sector Employees, and March 11 for First Responders and Essential Workers.
