Hoping you’ll read until the end 😞🙏— The beauty of Scotland can only be surpassed by the kindness of its people. And for 2 magical weeks we met the most wonderful humans we’ll never forget ♥️.

When asked—where did you stay? We smile because our home-stays may have been our fav part. For the majority, we stayed with locals (via Airbnb). We were greeted like old friends and often invited to gather round a dining table to hear stories & tips for the coming day 🗺. Smiles overflowing, even if we couldn’t always grasp the fast accent 😆.

We’ve never met such warm and welcoming people—although New Zealanders are sure up there 💚. 
•
And we hate to admit that returning to the U.S. has felt like falling from a happy cloud 😞. Like many, we feel sad, angry, and helpless. We went from a country with more sheep than people, to a place with more guns than its citizens.

It’s essential that we vote next week and make our demands heard 🗳—but we can also share smiles, random kindness, and spread love to strangers. We can get outside and greet fellow hikers on a trail 👋, offer to take someone’s pic, or ask if they need help when that 🤔 look pops up. Those simple acts made us feel so welcome—and we’d love for that warmness to uplift our beautiful country.
