Catching sunset in #Yosemite is a bucket list experience—wouldn’t you agree?? 💫 So Evan was surprised when I wanted to visit Glacier Point, where you can’t actually see the sun set (it’s known as a sunrise destination). 
•
But as we arrived we saw folks sprawled along the granite rocks—also hoping to witness #HalfDome glow. 
•
And as the sun disappeared behind us the colors in front of us started to erupt 🤩. Have you ever experienced an #AlpenGlow?
•
To increase your chances of seeing this natural phenomenon (and to be safe while doing so!), Save & Share these tips: 
•
1️⃣ Plan your location & timing by checking the alpenglowapp.
•
2️⃣AFTER the sun sets, DON’T leave! Instead, TURN AROUND—or like us, find an epic spot that faces East. 
•
3️⃣Always carry a trusty light as it can get dark QUICKLY (remember the sun’s already set). We always carry our biolite headlamps to return safely! 
•
🟣And last week we loved taking biolite’s new AlpenGlow lanterns on adventures & brightening our campsite.. they simulate the soft sunset hues  and provide a soft firelight flicker ☺️. So cozy, right? [ ad ]
