The saying goes, if it was easy everyone would do it ✨.

We admit we thought twice about exploring the ancient Mayan ruins at #Palenque—it required a 3am wake up call and 18hr journey through winding jungle roads. But we couldn’t say no to catching a glimpse of the #UNESCO World heritage site! 
And maybe because it’s so remote it lacks the crowds and hefty entrance fee you’ll find at #chichenitza. 
The entire tour cost $28 USD, and we’ll never forget what it feels like to step into this ancient wonder. •
