Throughout my life, I’ve always had such an intrinsic passion for science and medicine. I knew I wanted to be a physician at age 15. I bought and studied brain anatomy books, witnessed my mother’s c-section, and even became a participant of MSU’s premed group known as the Health Careers Program (HCP). Honestly, Montclair State was not my first choice. I wanted to study neuroscience at Hofstra. God had other plans that I now appreciate and am so incredibly grateful for. I consider myself an ambitious person and one who dreams big and bright. I believe that your dreams can come true if you put in the time, hard work, and constant effort. It’s a no-brainer. All the late nights practicing organic chemistry drawing problems, or skipping a family day to stay home and finish up homework WILL be worth it all. I’m privileged even to be an undergraduate student. I’m privileged to be studying science. I’m privileged even to have a chance of dreaming every day and envisioning the life I aspire.
