🪶Doves, like the Luzon Bleeding-heart are cousins to the city pigeon. 
🪶These sweet birds get their name from the unique plumage that resembles a bleeding heart – very poetic!
🪶The National Aviary proudly welcomed a Luzon Bleeding-heart chick in February of 2024. (See if you can spot the family in our Tropical Rainforest habitat!)
