A banquet is the perfect way to capture a lonely corner.  Early in my career I learned the art of the floor plan.  Specifically: foregoing a single seating arrangement centered around the fireplace in the formal living room in favor of multiple seating areas, creating more of a “salon” feel that invites guests to settle in as opposed to a musical chairs situation forcing late arrivals to stand awkwardly in the perimeter of the room.  Here we created just that, the ideal place to relax on the weekend with a book or pack with pals at a hopping house party.
