PALMDALE 9-11-21: Per lasdhq Homicide: “Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives responded to investigate a deputy-involved shooting. The incident was reported Saturday, September 11, 2021, at approximately 7:47 P.M. on the 200 block of East Ave. R., in the city of Palmdale. Saturday afternoon, at approximately 1:30 P.M., a strong-armed robbery occurred in the city of Lancaster. At approximately 7:00 P.M., deputies observed the suspect driving a white SUV. Deputies pursued the suspect to the city of Palmdale where the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns for the public. Deputies located the suspect again a short time later. The suspect made a U-turn and began driving towards the deputies. The suspect attempted to crash his vehicle into one of the oncoming patrol cars and missed. He then intentionally collided with a different patrol car head-on. A deputy-involved shooting occurred at this time. 

**The two deputies involved in the collision were transported to a local area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.**

The suspect, a male Hispanic adult, was also transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. He was released from the hospital and transported to the sheriff’s Lancaster station for booking. There is no additional information available at this time.
