## Caption

CASTAIC 9-11-21: The #RouteFire broke out just north of Templin Hwy and Castaic yesterday afternoon. What started as a small brush fire on the side of the SB 5 freeway quickly spread to almost 400 acres, driven by hot temperatures and good wind. Firefighters took an aggressive attack day and night to try to contain the fire. It is currently just over 400 acres at the moment with an unknown amount of containment. 2 firefighters were transported with minor injuries.
