On August 31, 2001, lasdhq scvsheriff Deputy Hagop “Jake” Kuredjian was shot and killed in the line of duty while responding to a law enforcement backup call. 20 years later, his memory lives on. Deputies with the SCV station stood throughout the day yesterday at his memorial in Stevenson’s Ranch to honor his memory.
