## Caption

NEWHALL PASS 1-7-21 “WELDON IC”: A brush fire erupted off the Old Road just north of the 5/14 Freeway split. Originally reported as an acre running uphill, the fire quickly spread due to a slight wind. The fire’s forward progress was stopped approximately an hour after it began, the ending acreage at approximately 10 acres. It is unknown how it began, and no injuries were reported.
