The Equestrian Fire burned in Castaic this morning. High winds and medium levels of brush meant for a tough battle for the lacountyfd and lacofireairops. The fire was just north of Pitchess Detention Center, starting off of Tapia Canyon Road in Castaic. The fire burned to recent controlled burn lines at Pitchess. High winds are supposed to be in effect for the next few days. This is a breaking news story.
