For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Cathy & Bob ✨

"We met at a meeting for student government reps about the Rutgers budget held at then-RU VP Marvin Greenberg’s office. We both served as University Senators and Bob became my campaign manager when I ran for the position of student rep to the Board of Governors. Bob left Rutgers to work as a sheriff’s officer for a few years and returned to Rutgers in 1987. After his graduation in 1989, we had our wedding at Voorhees Chapel and our reception at Wood Lawn, home of Eagleton Institute, where we’d both been undergraduate associates. Bob stayed on at Eagleton as a fellow, graduating with his MA in 1990. We had a baby in 1993 and she was raised going to Ag Field Day/Folk Festival and then Rutgers Day when that became the thing. She swore she would not attend Rutgers but was accepted to Rutgers’ nursing program. By then it was her idea and we all lived happily ever after!"
