In honor of Veterans Day, we wanted to shine a light on a key piece of Rutgers history. #TBT 🕰️

Encouraged by the educational benefits of the GI Bill, close to 9,000 students entered Rutgers in the immediate post-World War II era.

The influx of GIs, along with their families, would set the stage for an explosive expansion in facilities and programs, and Rutgers would begin to take shape as the research university we know today.
