The city of #Fontana, #California will pay $898K to #ThomasPerezJr. after police subjected him to a 17-hour interrogation in 2018, pressuring him to falsely confess to m-rdering his father, who was still alive. 

Officers also threatened to euthanize his dog, that they brought into the room, because it was “depressed” after seeing Perez commit the nonexistent m-rder.

A judge called the interrogation “unconstitutional psychological torture.”
