Grantee in the news! thecoloradosun recently reported on the Safe Outdoor Space program. In an analysis of Denver Police Department data, they found that "crime reports decreased in the neighborhoods where Safe Outdoor Space sites have operated, even as reported crime increased across Denver."

Operated by the coloradovillagecollaborative, the Safe Outdoor Spaces receive direct oversight, access to resources, and case management. Cuica Montoya, Colorado Village Collaborative’s program director, says "...when serving this population...the more you meet the needs, the less things are going to happen that you don’t want to happen.”
