It’s #NationalPeriodDay, so here’s a reminder that the average person with a period spends 2,535 days of their life menstruating—and coping with the associated pain, discomfort, and financial cost that entails. Nearly 1 in 2 low-income people who menstruate have had to choose between being able to afford a meal or menstrual hygiene products. 25% of students have missed class because they didn’t have access to menstrual products. It’s time for #MenstrualEquity.
