Traditions run deep in the fire service. Gaffney Fire Department held a wet down ceremony and push in blessing over their new ladder truck tonight. When asked why, Chief Caggiano simply said, “It’s not our truck. We conduct this ceremony as a dedication for the community. The wet down ceremony symbolizes the meticulous care for the community’s truck.”
